All vehicles are air-conditioned, licensed, and insured for off-road driving. Each 4×4 accommodates up to six guests, keeping your experience comfortable and safe. Baby seats are available upon request for families traveling with young children.

What to Expect

You’ll travel in a modern 4×4 vehicle designed for desert terrain. The drive to Al Khatim Desert takes about 45–60 minutes from Abu Dhabi. Upon arrival, you’ll head straight to a beautiful spot where the dunes open up toward the sunrise. While waiting for the sun to appear, enjoy Arabic coffee or tea and capture the changing colors of the desert.

Once the sun is up, your guide will take you dune bashing  an exhilarating ride over soft sand ridges. After that, try sandboarding down the slopes or enjoy a gentle camel ride to experience the traditional rhythm of the desert. By the end of the morning, you’ll return to Abu Dhabi refreshed and ready for the rest of your day.

Important Information

The time for pick-up will change and it will be 1 hour before sunrise. This safari operates daily and depends on weather conditions. If visibility is poor or the desert is too windy, we may reschedule or offer alternative timings. The tour runs on a shared basis, though private vehicles can be arranged upon request. Pick-ups and drop-offs are available only within Abu Dhabi city limits.

Wear light, comfortable clothing and closed shoes. Bring a light jacket during winter months, as mornings can be cool. Don’t forget your sunglasses, sunscreen, and camera  sunrise over the dunes is one of the most photogenic moments in the UAE.
